Improving wellbeing and inclusion

How we can help

Cambridgeshire ACRE is committed to ensuring fairer and more equitable health and wellbeing outcomes for people living in rural areas, where access to services can be much more difficult.

Through our various programmes of work, we have seen at first-hand the issues that rurality can cause, especially where it is compounded by significant deprivation and isolation.

Cambridgeshire ACRE works with partners and communities to understand inequalities in health and wellbeing and to tackle these issues at a local level.

We can offer help with:

distributing grant funding
setting up community volunteering schemes
considering the use of community facilities for health outreach activities, and
designing, animating and delivering community wellbeing projects.

Whether its distributing funding to alleviate fuel poverty, bringing high quality performing arts to rural community buildings or providing opportunities for people to improve their self-confidence, self-esteem and employability, our work is all about bringing about improvements to the health and wellbeing of rural residents. This in turn helps reduce inequalities and deliver wellbeing services into the heart of the community, where they can be more easily accessed.
