Introducing the Vision Portal for social enterprise
Cambridgeshire ACRE is pleased to be working with Social Enterprise East of England and other partners to deliver the Vision Programme, a one-year initiative funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority. The Vision Programme supports social enterprises and community organisations by providing business support, resources and opportunities for collaboration. The Vision Portal is the online hub for this work, offering free access to guidance, training materials and practical tools for every stage of the social enterprise journey.
Community buildings play a vital role in rural life. When they are run as social enterprises, they are more likely to be commercially successful and resilient, offering essential services and opportunities for local people. As part of the Vision Programme, Cambridgeshire ACRE is creating a practical business plan template for community buildings, which will be available on the Vision Portal in the spring. This resource will help trustees and volunteers plan confidently for the future.
We encourage you to visit the Vision Portal to see what is already available and to check back as new resources are added. If you are involved with a community building in Whittlesey or the surrounding parishes and would like to know more, or if you would like support with business planning, please get in touch with Cambridgeshire ACRE. We will be sharing more updates as the programme develops and look forward to working together to help community buildings thrive.
