Fenstanton Community Hall opens its doors
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing the new Fenstanton Community Hall to life
It was a pleasure to attend the formal opening this week (30 September) and see first-hand what an impressive new facility has been created for the village. The hall is more than just a building. It is a welcoming space where people can come together, make connections, learn new skills, celebrate milestones and build a stronger community for years to come.

Chief Executive, Hayley, and Head of Business Services, Alison, represented Cambridgeshire ACRE at the opening event.
A huge credit goes to the management committee, trustees and volunteers whose vision, persistence and hard work have turned this ambitious project into reality. Creating a community space of this scale is no small task, and the result is something the whole village can be proud of.
At Cambridgeshire ACRE, we are proud to support community buildings across the county with advice on governance, effective management, sustainability, energy efficiency and the many other challenges that come with running successful community spaces. We are proud that the Management Committee at Fenstanton came to us for advice throughout the development and build process. Seeing projects like this reach completion is a reminder of just how important these facilities are to local life.
It was also encouraging to hear both MP Ian Sollom and Mayor Paul Bristow recognise the vital role that community buildings play in bringing people together and helping communities thrive, not just today but for generations to come.
Congratulations again to everyone involved in this fantastic achievement.
