South Cambridgeshire Community Facilities Study 2025 published
The South Cambridgeshire District Council Planning Policy Team, in partnership with the Communities Team, commissioned Cambridgeshire ACRE to prepare a comprehensive update of the 2009 Community Facilities Study Report.
The new 2025 South Cambridgeshire Community Facilities study involved a comprehensive audit of village halls and other community facilities across South Cambridgeshire, and a survey of hall managers and parish councils. The study provides information on the quantity, quality and accessibility of existing halls, which will help to inform Section 106 negotiations. It also makes recommendations on the space and quality standards that to help inform the emerging Greater Cambridge Local Plan.
Cambridgeshire ACRE was very pleased to have been engaged to undertake this work and we thank all the volunteers, trustees, parish clerks and parish councillors who spared their time to talk to us and show us around their facilities.
The South Cambridgeshire Community Facilities Study 2025 Final Report is available to download and read from the Local Plan document library.
