Making your community building dementia friendly
About this event
Join us for a practical online session to help community building trustees understand how small, low‑cost changes can make their building more welcoming for people living with dementia.
Robert Colbert from Alzheimer’s Society will explain what dementia friendly design looks like in community settings, using the environmental checklist to highlight simple improvements such as good lighting, clear signage, contrast and thoughtful layout.
Trustees will leave with realistic actions they can take now and ideas for longer‑term planning.
