When things go wrong: how communities step up (a ‘Staying Connected’ event)
About this event
Is your community prepared if the unexpected happens?
Power cuts, flooding and extreme weather can place real strain on residents and local services. When communities plan ahead and work together, harm can be reduced and recovery is quicker.
This online Staying Connected session will introduce how the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Local Resilience Forum (CPLRF) supports local councils and community organisations to build community resilience.
You will hear from the Forum’s Risk & Resilience Officer, Devon McInnes, and will learn about community‑led approaches, Emergency Liaison Points and practical steps to help your community prepare, respond and recover when an incident occurs.
Who should attend?
This event is aimed at:
- Parish councillors, clerks and other council staff
