Closing the gap: cancer awareness and early diagnosis in Cambridgeshire (a ‘Stayed Connected’ event)
About this event
This online awareness session, delivered by our expert Macmillan Village Agents, will explore the four most common cancers in the UK, focusing on early signs and symptoms, screening and when to seek help.
Drawing on learning from Cambridgeshire ACRE’s Community Cancer Champions project, the event will look at why early diagnosis matters and how rural and structural barriers can affect access to cancer care.
Participants will be supported to better understand cancer risks, feel more confident having conversations about cancer and know where to signpost people to local and national support.
