Carers Connect Hub online community launches
Cambridgeshire ACRE is pleased to announce the launch of the Carers Connect Hub, an innovative online platform designed to support unpaid carers across Fenland. Funded through the Care Together programme and supported by Cambridgeshire County Council, this initiative aims to reduce social isolation and enhance the wellbeing of carers in the region.
The Carers Connect Hub offers a range of features tailored to the needs of unpaid carers, including themed discussion groups, a comprehensive resource library, and weekly live support sessions facilitated by trained Village Agents. The platform is accessible 24/7, providing a flexible and supportive environment for carers to connect and share experiences.
Carers can self-refer or be referred by professionals such as GPs, Social Prescribers, and local community organisations. For those less confident with digital technology, support is available to ensure everyone can benefit from the hub’s resources.
For more information or to sign up, please visit Cambridgeshire ACRE’s Carers Connect Hub page. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at enquiries@cambsacre.org.uk.
We encourage local organisations, healthcare professionals and community leaders to share information about the Carers Connect Hub and help us build a strong and connected support system for unpaid carers across Fenland. You can download our flyer and share it electronically with your networks to help spread the word. If you would prefer printed copies to display or hand out, please email us at enquiries@cambsacre.org.uk to request a supply.
If you know a carer who might be interested but feels unsure about using online platforms, or would benefit from a little extra encouragement, we are taking referrals via our online form. Our trained Village Agent can contact the carer directly for a friendly phone conversation and help them get started at their own pace.
