As Cambridgeshire ACRE’s Head of Business Services I create strong foundations so rural communities can rely on services that last
I help ensure that people in rural Cambridgeshire experience reliable, accessible support when they need it. When organisations are well‑run and sustainably funded, communities gain confidence, services remain open and local groups can make informed decisions that improve everyday life.
I do this by strengthening the practical foundations behind community projects. That means securing funding, building trusted partnerships and ensuring finances and governance are robust. In practice, this gives local organisations the stability to focus on people, not paperwork and the confidence to grow services communities depend on.
This work matters beyond individual projects. Rural areas face persistent challenges including isolation, limited access to services and rising cost pressures. By investing in strong infrastructure and credible evidence of impact, Cambridgeshire ACRE helps ensure community‑led solutions can survive funding cycles and continue supporting people over the long term.
A moment that mattered to me
“Securing funding to sustain the Cambridgeshire Community Hubs Network meant trusted local spaces could stay open for people facing isolation, low incomes or poor health. By stabilising resources, these hubs have continued offering warmth, connection and practical help to those who need it most.”
