Working to strengthen local

Cambridgeshire Coronavirus Community Fund

20 March 2020

The Cambridgeshire Coronavirus Community Fund is open to constituted community organisations throughout Cambridgeshire, who are supporting isolated older and vulnerable people at this time.

Grants between £1,000 and £5,000 will be considered (larger grants may be available for groups working in partnership). The process should take between 5 and 10 days.

The focus of the fund will be to offer community organisations emergency funding to deal with emerging issues in the community, affecting older people (aged 60 and over) and other vulnerable people (high risk, pre-existing medical conditions), as a result of the continuing threat of Covid-19, and the need for self-isolation, and potential for hunger, lack of shelter, further exacerbation of health issues, loneliness and isolation of these people.

To be eligible to apply your project must support older people or other vulnerable people and help to:

  • Reduce isolation and vulnerability during any isolation period that may arise as a result of the threat of Covid-19,
  • Support ongoing needs of older people, to ensure that their well being is maintained,
  • Any initiative that will help ensure people remain, safely connected with the outside world during this time.

Application deadline
Applications may be submitted at any time and will be considered when received.

The fund will remain open on a rolling call basis. A high level of interest is expected in this fund. Depending on current funding available, and any future funds raised, the funder therefore may decide to close for applications within a relatively short space of time, if they do not have enough funds to meet the demand for support.
