Connecting Cambridgeshire - Broadband Demand Survey

11 December 2017

The superfast broadband rollout has reached over 95 percent of the county and is aiming for 99percent coverage by 2020. Most premises can now upgrade to faster fibre services with their chosen provider, and thousands more will be covered in the next phase of the rollout from 2017-2019. Residents can use the Connecting Cambridgeshire postcode checker to check current or planned superfast broadband coverage in their postcode area, and find out how to upgrade or improve broadband speeds.

Planning is now underway to fill remaining gaps in coverage and telecoms providers are being consulted on their plans for delivering superfast broadband in order to map the revised intervention area. To support this, householders and businesses, who want superfast broadband but cannot access it yet, are being asked to complete a short online Broadband Demand Survey before the end of February to show prospective suppliers the strength of demand for better speeds.

Businesses in rural areas can also help to improve digital connectivity by completing Connecting Cambridgeshire’s Broadband Connectivity Survey.
