Wisbech CLLD - Monitoring Officer

Based: Ely, Cambridgeshire (with some home-working possible)
Hours: Part-time (21 hours per week), fixed term contract to 31 December 2021
Salary: In the range of £21,962 - £25,591 per annum (full-time equivalent salary shown)

For the next five years, the Wisbech CLLD Local Action Group (LAG) is delivering a £2.1m Community Led Local Development programme funded by the European Union’s European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. The aim of the programme is to help people who are unemployed or economically inactive to move into training or employment.

This key role supports the successful delivery of this programme by taking responsibility for project eligibility checks, assessment, appraisal, monitoring and audit. The successful applicant will monitor the progress of successful applications with regard to activities, spend and claims so a keen eye for detail is critical.

A key aspect of this role will be maintaining project records and visiting projects to carry out inspections and audits. Regular and accurate reporting on budgets and project activity features heavily in this role, as the role holder will also act as the secretary to the Local Action Group who will be overseeing delivery of the agreed Local Development Strategy.

You‘ll need skills in a wide range of areas including project management, budget management / financial monitoring, administration / records management, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, excellent IT skills and a willingness to work flexibly as part of our small team supporting European-funded programmes.
