Wisbech CLLD - Project Animator

Based: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire (with some home-working possible)
Hours: Part-time (21 hours per week), fixed term contract to 31 December 2019
Salary: In the range of £21,962 - £25,591 per annum (full-time equivalent salary shown)

For the next five years, the Wisbech CLLD Local Action Group (LAG) is delivering a £2.1m Community Led Local Development programme funded by the European Union’s European Social Fund as part of the 2014-2020 European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme in England. The aim of the programme is to help people who are unemployed or economically inactive to move into training or employment.

This key role supports the successful delivery of this programme by working to stimulate innovative project applications from local community groups and organisations that will help people into employment or training. The successful applicant will offer sound programme guidance and project support throughout the project application process and support successful applicants with implementation.

A key aspect of this role will be promoting and marketing the programme both to potential project applicants and wider stakeholders, to raise awareness of the opportunities the programme offers people living in Wisbech and the surrounding area.

You will need skills in a wide range of areas including project development and management, working with community groups and volunteers and promotion/marketing, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, excellent IT skills, the ability to talk confidently to a wide range of people at all levels and a willingness to work flexibly as part of our small team supporting European-funded programmes.
